BOMET EAST, Kaporuso Jan 25 - The serene village of Kaporuso in Bomet East was shaken to its core when locals stumbled upon the body of a middle-aged man floating in a nearby dam. What began as an ordinary day quickly turned into a grim scene as residents gathered in disbelief, grappling with the unsettling mystery.

The discovery was made by locals going about their daily routines, according to Bomet East Sub-County Police Commandant Joseph Chesire. They immediately raised the alarm, prompting police to retrieve the body and begin investigations.

“This man’s identity remains unknown as no identification documents were found on him, and no one from the community has come forward to claim the body,” Commandant Chesire said.

The initial examination revealed no visible injuries, leaving the cause of death uncertain. Authorities are now working to determine whether it was an accident, suicide, or if foul play was involved.

“For us to establish the circumstances surrounding his death, identifying the deceased is the first crucial step,” Chesire added, noting that reaching out to any potential relatives could shed light on the man’s final moments.
