Kamapwai Sete Community-Based Organization (CBO) has received a major financial boost of Ksh 100,000 from the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), thanks to the support of Bomet County Woman Representative, Hon. Linet Chepkorir, popularly known as “Toto.”
The cheque was officially presented during a lively ceremony at Kiplelji Market Grounds, where Hon. Linet praised the group for their dedication to community development and successful application for the funding.
“I commend Kamapwai Sete CBO for demonstrating initiative and strong organization in accessing these funds. This money is meant to transform lives — use it transparently, accountably, and for the benefit of all,” she urged.
Hon. Linet also took the opportunity to thank the people of Bomet for their active participation in last month’s Inua Mama initiative, describing it as a “remarkable success that set a new benchmark for grassroots engagement.”
“Bomet has waited long enough for real and meaningful development. We now have the opportunity to bring lasting change — but it can only happen if we walk this journey together,” she added.
She encouraged other CBOs across the county to apply for NGAAF support, emphasizing the importance of following due process, submitting proper documentation, and having a clear plan of action.

Speaking on behalf of Kamapwai Sete CBO, Chairman Mr. Peter Ruto expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Linet, calling the visit historic.
“Since the 2022 general election, Hon. Linet is the first elected leader to physically bring development to our doorstep. We are deeply grateful, and we promise to use these funds effectively to uplift our sub-groups,” he said.
Kamapwai Sete CBO, which comprises over 100 members from Kaminjeiwa village in Chesoen Ward, plans to invest the funds in income-generating activities and capacity-building initiatives.
In addition to the cheque, Hon. Linet also distributed umbrellas to local mama mboga (women traders) and donated a wheelchair to a person living with a disability — underscoring her commitment to empowering vulnerable members of the community.
This disbursement marks the third funding initiative led by Hon. Linet under NGAAF, following the recent rollout of various development projects. It reflects her continued pledge to deliver people-centered leadership across Bomet County.
