The Ministry of Education has announced the official release of the 2025 Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) results.
Learners, parents, and school administrators now have two official avenues for accessing the assessment results: online and via SMS.
• Online Access: Users can view the results through the Ministry’s designated selection portal. To check the results, visit: https://kjsea.knec.ac.ke/
• Users are required to input the student’s assessment number into the provided field.
• SMS Option: For those without internet connectivity, the Ministry offers an SMS service to receive school selection details. The process requires sending the learner's assessment number to 22263. Each SMS is charged at Ksh. 30
Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) CEO, David Njengere, confirmed the immediate availability of the results for all stakeholders on Thursday December 11, 2025.
Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos, officially declared the 2025 KJSEA examination results released.
He also detailed the required information for the SMS service saying that those without internet access can get the results via SMS code 22263.
“Learners will be required to enter the assessment number and any one of the names as per their registration data for the 2025 KJSEA assessment. The results will be accessed immediately after this session.”
Commenting on the CBC, Ogamba noted its progressive rollout, establishing a clear learning pathway: a two-year pre-primary phase, a six-year primary cycle, and subsequent three-year terms for both junior and senior secondary schools.
