Sidian Bank has expanded its national footprint with the official opening of its 47th branch in Bomet Town, a move aimed at bringing financial services closer to the people of the region.

The colorful launch ceremony was presided over by Bomet Governor Prof. Hilary Barchok, alongside Sidian Bank Chief Executive Officer Chege Thumbi.

The event, held on Wednesday, was attended by local leaders, business people, and residents, who welcomed the bank’s entry into the town.

Governor Barchok commended Sidian Bank for choosing Bomet as its latest location, citing the growing need for accessible financial services among farmers, entrepreneurs, and civil servants in the area.

“We welcome this development as it will not only create job opportunities for our people but also boost access to credit and financial services for the business community and the agricultural sector,” said Barchok.

Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Thumbi emphasized the bank's strategic focus on supporting grassroots economic development.

“Our goal is to tap into the vibrant agricultural sector, small and medium enterprises, and county employees. We believe Bomet presents a great opportunity to serve customers who are at the heart of the local economy,” he said.
