The body of Mr. Too, who had been missing since Saturday, was discovered floating in the Itare River by members of the public.

“Officers from the Konoin DCI are pursuing leads to determine what happened. We urge the public to remain calm and share any information that may help with the investigation,” said Mr. Imbwaga.
Members of the public who stumbled upon the floating body alerted Area Chief Emily Koech, who in turn informed police to retrieve it. Reports indicated that the body had visible injuries, suggesting Mr. Too may have been assaulted before being thrown into the river.
Police documented the scene before transferring the body to the mortuary for further examination.
Meanwhile, teachers in Bomet have expressed shock and sorrow over the tragedy.
KUPPET Bomet Gender Secretary, Ms. Norah Cherukwen, described the late principal as a dedicated, humble, and selfless educator who inspired both his students and colleagues through his commitment to academic excellence and mentorship.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Too. He was a devoted teacher and a source of inspiration to many within the education fraternity. His kindness, professionalism, and passion for his work will be greatly missed,” said Ms. Cherukwen.
She also urged teachers struggling with stress, depression, or family challenges to seek help rather than suffer in silence.
“We are losing too many colleagues to stress and emotional struggles. It’s time we break the silence. I urge KUPPET and the Ministry of Education to establish a mental health support desk in every sub-county to provide counseling and professional assistance,” she added.
