Police in Kisumu East Sub-County have successfully apprehended four individuals described as notorious criminals and recovered a Jericho pistol believed to have been stolen from a police officer.
On a statement released by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday October 26, 2025, the arrests took place in the Manyatta "B" slums, followed a crucial tip-off from vigilant members of the public.
Law enforcement officers in the region executed a targeted raid on a house in the Mbeme area of Manyatta "B."
"Swift action by law enforcement officers in Kisumu East Sub-County has led to the arrest of four notorious criminals and the recovery of a Jericho pistol, thanks to a timely tip-off from vigilant members of the public," Police report reads.
The raid resulted in the arrest of four suspects identified as Timothy Odhiambo, David Beckham Odhiambo, Tony Blair Omondi, and Harun Ibrahim.
Following the arrests, the suspects were interrogated and subsequently led officers to a separate hideout. It was at this second location that the police recovered the Jericho pistol, which was found loaded with a magazine containing 14 rounds of ammunition.
Initial investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have since revealed a significant detail: the recovered firearm was reportedly stolen from a police officer during the burial proceedings of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.

The four suspects are currently in police custody. They are undergoing processing and are expected to be arraigned in court soon to face charges.
