Bomet Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok has reshuffled Chief Officers in a move aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery across county departments.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Governor on Tuesday, July 21, the county government said the changes were intended to enhance effective service delivery to residents.
“In order to enhance efficient and effective service delivery to the residents of Bomet, His Excellency Prof. Hillary Barchok, EGH, has re-assigned Chief Officers to run the County Executive in the following County Departments,” the statement reads.
Under the changes, Haron Kirui has been appointed Chief Officer for Public Service, while Nelson Tore takes over as Chief Officer for Roads.
Dr. Nelson Tore will also serve as the Acting Chief Officer for Youth and Sports.
Solomon Kimetto has been assigned to the Lands, Housing and Urban Planning department, Paul Mutai will head Tourism and Investment, while Issa Kahin Yarrow has been appointed Chief Officer for Water, Sanitation, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change.

The county government said the reshuffle takes effect immediately. Governor Barchok expressed confidence in the officers and wished them success as they assume their new responsibilities.
“Governor Prof. Hillary K. Barchok, EGH, wishes the Chief Officers all the best as they discharge their duties,” the statement added.
