Tenwek High School in Bomet County has released all students with immediate effect following an apparent tension that was reported within the school compound.
In a statement, the school’s Board of Management (BOM) said the decision was reached in consultation with relevant authorities as a precautionary measure aimed at safeguarding learners.
“The Board of Management, acting in consultation with relevant authorities, has decided to release all students with immediate effect to prioritize learner safety and well-being,” the statement said.
Parents and guardians have been urged to cooperate with the school administration as efforts continue to assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action.
