Bomet University has released the official academic calendar for the September–December 2026 semester, outlining reporting, orientation, registration and fee payment deadlines for both new and continuing students.
According to a notice issued by the University’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs on Monday, August 10, 2026, first-year students will report to the university on August 18 and 19, marking the beginning of preparations for the new academic year.
The university will conduct orientation for new students from August 20 to 27, followed by the matriculation ceremony on August 28.

Continuing students are expected to report on August 31, the same day the new semester’s academic processes will begin.
Classes to begin September 2
Bomet University has scheduled the commencement of classes for September 2, 2026, giving students a clear timeline to prepare for the new semester.
The university has also set August 31 to September 18 as the period for nominal roll signing and semester/course registration.
The notice urged students to complete the required academic processes within the stipulated deadlines.
“All students are required to complete Nominal Roll signing, semester/course registration, and payment of at least 50% of the required fees by 18th September 2026,” the university said.

The notice was signed by Dr. Fredrick Olang’a Wafula, Deputy Registrar, Academic and Student Affairs, who urged students to take note of the dates and comply with the stipulated timelines.
“Students are encouraged to plan accordingly and liaise with their respective Schools and relevant University offices for any clarification regarding the scheduled activities,” the notice stated.
The university’s announcement comes as institutions across Kenya prepare for the 2026/27 academic year, with universities publishing their reporting and registration schedules ahead of the new semester.
Other institutions have also set late-August and early-September dates for reporting and commencement of classes.
Bomet University students, particularly first-years, will therefore have less than two weeks from the date of the notice to prepare for reporting, with the first batch expected on campus from August 18.
