Kenya Power has announced planned maintenance works targeting various transformers in Roysambu and Githurai areas as part of efforts to improve electricity supply in the region.
The utility company said the exercise, dubbed Boresha Roysambu, will run throughout the week from 7am to 5pm, with the works scheduled to continue until Saturday.
Kenya Power said its teams are carrying out maintenance on various transformers as part of efforts to strengthen the electricity network and address faults that could affect power supply in the affected areas.
The company urged residents and businesses in Roysambu, Githurai and surrounding areas to exercise patience and understanding as the maintenance works continue.

“Our teams are carrying out planned maintenance works on various transformers in the Roysambu and Githurai areas this week, under the Boresha Roysambu exercise,” Kenya Power said in a statement.
The company added that the works are focused on maintaining the network and addressing issues that could potentially disrupt electricity supply.
Residents experiencing power-related incidents have been advised to report them through the Kenya Power customer service platform by dialling *977# or using the myPower App.
The maintenance comes as Kenya Power continues to undertake network improvement works aimed at enhancing the reliability of electricity supply across different parts of the country.
Customers in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly during the maintenance period.
