The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has provided guidance on how schools can access their school-specific reports for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
The reports can be accessed through the KNEC Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal using the school’s official login credentials.
Step-by-step guide
1. Open the KNEC CBA portal : Schools should begin by visiting the KNEC CBA portal at https://cba.knec.ac.ke/.
2. Log in using school credentials: The school should sign in using its official credentials.

KNEC advises users to confirm that the profile displayed in the top-right corner of the portal is labelled “Headteacher” before proceeding.
3. Select ‘School Report’: After logging in, go to the Headteacher menu and select School Report.
This section provides access to the school’s assessment reports.
4. Choose the required report: Schools should select the report type they wish to access before downloading it.
The available options include:- KJSEA report- KPSEA reportUsers should confirm that the active report displayed above the download button corresponds to the assessment they intend to access.
5. Download the report: Click the green Download button to obtain the report.
The report will be downloaded in PDF format and, depending on the browser settings, will normally be saved in the device’s Downloads folder unless the user selects a different location.
Details schools should verify
Before using or sharing the downloaded report, KNEC advises schools to verify three key details to ensure the document belongs to the correct institution.

These are:- School name- Centre code and related details- Report type , whether it is the intended KJSEA or KPSEA report.
The verification is important to ensure that schools work with the correct assessment report and avoid confusion between different report types.
The guidance is part of KNEC’s efforts to facilitate access to assessment information through the Competency-Based Assessment portal as schools transition to the new education assessment system.
